Stories that Move People

The most powerful films don't begin with a camera.

They begin with curiosity.

For more than twenty years I've worked with global brands, charities, healthcare organisations and technology companies to uncover the human stories behind complex ideas. Whether documenting humanitarian work, exploring innovation, inspiring behavioural change or building trust through authentic storytelling, my process remains the same:

Find the person.
Discover what matters to them.
Tell their story with honesty, craft and cinematic precision.

Every project is different, but the objective rarely changes—to create films that make people feel something before asking them to think something.

Because audiences don't remember information.

They remember stories.

Selected Storytelling Projects

UNHCR

Humanitarian Storytelling

Working with the United Nations Refugee Agency, I produced documentary-led films capturing the resilience, dignity and hope of displaced people. Rather than focusing on statistics, the films centred on individual human experiences, helping audiences connect emotionally with one of the world's most important humanitarian missions.

Humanity • Compassion • Resilience • Hope

NHS

Changing Behaviour Through Storytelling

For the NHS Stop Smoking campaign, I moved away from conventional advertising and instead built the campaign around authentic lived experiences.

Real stories created genuine emotional connection, helping encourage thousands of people to seek support.

Impact

300% increase in people engaging with NHS Stop Smoking Services.

SS&C Blue Prism

Making Technology Feel Human

Artificial Intelligence, automation and enterprise software are rarely considered emotional subjects.

My role was to uncover the people behind the technology.

Through documentary-style customer films, executive interviews and innovation stories, I transformed highly technical subjects into engaging narratives that audiences could understand, relate to and trust.

Themes

Innovation • AI • Transformation • Customer Success

Aviva

Human Stories Behind Financial Services

Financial services affect every stage of life, yet they're often communicated through products rather than people.

At Aviva I create cinematic documentary films featuring customers, colleagues and business leaders, helping simplify complex financial subjects through authentic conversations and beautifully observed moments.

Trust • Community • Financial Wellbeing

Jaguar Land Rover

Engineering with Emotion

Every vehicle tells two stories.

The first is engineering.

The second is human ambition.

Working with Jaguar Land Rover, I created premium branded films celebrating craftsmanship, innovation and design excellence, balancing cinematic visuals with authentic storytelling that reflected the passion behind every vehicle.

Craftsmanship • Innovation • Design

Ramblers

Inspiring Public Action

Stories have the power to create movement.

Working with the Ramblers, I directed campaign films that highlighted the importance of protecting Britain's public rights of way. By focusing on the people, places and communities connected by these landscapes, the campaign inspired thousands to take action.

Impact

• 49,138 miles of rights of way registered

• 3,477 public actions generated

Themes

Community • Nature • Social Impact

Manchester Moving

Communities in Motion

Movement changes lives.

This documentary project explored how physical activity strengthens communities, improves wellbeing and creates lasting social change.

Rather than focusing on programmes, the films focused on people—their motivations, their challenges and the transformative effect movement had on their lives.

Themes

Community • Wellbeing • Inclusion

My Approach

I don't begin with equipment.

I begin with people.

Every production starts by understanding who we're speaking to, what they care about and why the story matters.

From there I shape every element—research, interviews, cinematography, lighting, sound, pacing and edit—to create films that feel authentic, emotionally engaging and visually distinctive.

Whether I'm working alone with a camera or leading a full production crew, the goal remains the same:

To create stories that audiences remember long after the film has finished.
